Nova Scotia College of Early Childhood Education is a non-profit educational environment overseen by a Board of Directors. At the Nova Scotia College of Early Childhood Education we are proud to lay the foundation for the personal and professional development of our students.
We also have lab schools and child care centres located in Nova Scotia. We provide inclusive care for children aged 3 months - 5 years of age. The lab schools are an integral component of the training and education of our early childhood education students. Students connect with the lab schools during the program of studies through assignments, observations, class presentations and practicum experiences. The lab school staff welcome students’ participation in their programs and are eager to offer support as students complete their assignments.
We also operate the Early Years Community Development Centre that offers professional development opportunities. The field of Early Childhood Education is constantly changing. The EYCDC will help you develop and maintain a reflective ECE practice that aligns with your values, current research-based knowledge, and focus on well-being of children and families.
